Past Conferences

The Harvard College in Asia Program takes pride in the variety and depth of academic topics that our conferences have covered in the past nine years. Our speakers, panels and trips have not only proven to be educational, but have also shown to be a source of inspiration for the career choices that our participants have ultimately chosen to pursue.

Each year, HCAP organizes a great number of social and cultural events and attracts a balanced group of speakers to ensure that the various views and cultures of each one of our partner countries are fully represented. Outside of the academic component of our conference, Harvard students will also have the unique opportunity to learn more about Asia through deep conversations and interactions with the Asian delegates.

Many HCAP members have taken classes focusing on Asia. However, after going through the two-week HCAP experience, many claim to have learned more about the people and cultures of Turkey, UAE, India, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan in those two weeks than they had during semesters of classes previously.

In each of the past years, more than 130 Harvard and Asian delegates, other Harvard faculty and scholars, and other guest speakers from over seven different countries have meet to discuss our topics creating amazing academic venues.
